Children's Museum

One of the weekends Michael was in Colorado I took the girls to the Natural History Museum. The day was gorgeous and the museum was so cool. They also had a bug exhibit and the kids could hold the bugs. EWWWWWW...Not for Jordyn! She loved it. She was mad because she couldn't hold the tarantula because it was molting! I don't know where she came from!

Ireland

How can it be possible that my baby girl is starting preschool?! I do homeschool Jordyn and have been doing some preschool with Ireland, but with the daycare kiddos and all the other hats I wear I decided to enroll Ireland in preschool with a lady down the street. She goes with 2 of her little buddies as well as a classroom full of new friends. Well, much to my surprise, she LOVED it! She asks when she gets to go to school again ALL THE TIME!!! The house is so quiet for the 2 1/2 hours she's gone and I almost don't know what to do with myself! Her is her 1st day of school picture!

January

Crazy, I know, but yes, I am posting in the current month and I have pictures! Don't get used to it! Somehow we survived another 4 weeks of Michael living in Colorado and the rest of us in Utah. To say the least it was difficult, but he made it home safely and all 3 children survived until their father got home. So, all in all it turned out alright!

We went bowling this past weekend and laughed so hard with each other. Bowling is always fun, but we all were cracking up and enjoying each other and that was the best part! So glad the whole family is togehter again!

December

So cliche, but I can't believe we are starting a new year already! December was a whirlwind! Mike got home on the 18th finally! It really felt like an eternity! I would like to say we just hung out and relaxed, but there is nothing fudged from e truth! Poor Michael worked his tail off from the day he got home until the day he leaves again to go back to trial which is Saturday! I had the brilliant idea of adding a bedroom in the basement...which mind you is already finished! So we have all been working hard to complete that "little" task. He also added a door to my craft room, painted the entire basement and we painted my kitchen! So, we have been just a bit busy!

Oh yeah, and there was Christmas!! We were all so tired this year! Jake left for Oregon on the 23rd so we were down one family member which is never fun. On Christmas Eve we went to church, the girls got to open one gift and we watched the Nativity. We also sang Hapy Birthday to Jesus and had cake. Christmas morning was so exciting watching the girls explore what Santa had left for them. I wish I could say we went to church, but there was no church on The Sunday of Christmas...that's a whole bother blog though, one in which I'm not too happy! Anyhow, we did nothing on Christmas and God bless Panda Express because they were open and that's what we ate! I'm so ashamed, but we were exhausted. We did have a nice prime rib dinner on the 26th though!

New Years Eve we played games at home. We almost made it until midnight. Jordyn was not feeling well, but wanted so badly to make it to midnight. At about 10 til we all went to bed and thanks to some of the neighbors we knew when midnight hit because they had HUGE fireworks and we are pretty sure they were shooting them from our porch!! We still fell asleep! Nope, we are not who we used to be!

November

My laptop is broken so there will be no pics to post this time. I know what's the point in blogging without pics? Sorry. In November we made it to the mountain for snowboarding. Even I made it up for the first time in about 10 years! We will see if I make it up again sometime in the future! It was a fun day. My kids can race down the mountain like nobodys business leaving their Mama in their dust!

We spent Thanksgiving with our friennds the Duntz family. The turkey was unbelievably yummy, but somehow we kept shutting the oven off on the rest of the food! Although hilarious and memorable, it wasn't the best fix ins!! The day was fun though with great company! Chriss and I ventured out with all the crazies to hit the Toysrus sale that started at 9. What a joke! We hung out for about a half an hour and headed home! The line to get in was around the building and it was anything but warm out! No sale was worth that for us!

Mike and I did most of our Christmas shopping online, thank the Lord! We did go to Cabellas on Black Friday and apparently so did e rest of the state, what a mad house!

Mike had to head to Colorado on the 28th for 3 weeks for trial so I was a sad, crazy, single mama! To all you mamas out their who do it on your own daily, props to ya, I don't know how you do it and you are super women!
