Jordyn AKA Rock Star

This blog is dedicated to our oldest daughter, Jordyn! She never ceases to amaze us. We are biased, but we have yet to find something the girl can't do. She is currently playing soccer and gymnastics. She has had a great Spring season in soccer and scored at least once every game. She is also learning the logistics of the sport, which her Dad is so impressed with! We signed her up for an all girls league for next season and Mike is hoping to coach her. She is so excited for the Daddy to be the coach!

Gymnastics is year round and we plan on keeping her in it as long as we can. She is very talented and loves doing it. She is in great physical shape because of it and is learning healthy lessons for life. It seems she progresses with each week and her coach tells us that Level 4 is coming quickly. Which means competition is coming quickly. It is exciting and scary at the same time. As some of you know, gymnastics is a very demanding sport and requires dedication from not only the gymnast, but their family as well! There is quite a bit of travel and expenses involved. However, we agree that the benefits of being a dedicated gymnist will pay off in the end. Hopefully, she can achieve a scholarship and as I mentioned before she is learning life lessons as well. She has learned how to handle difficult situations, different personalities and how to adjust to them, how to be and stay healthy and active, and what it means to be dedicated to something and to a team.

I think it is obvious that we are so proud of our Princess. The girl can spit fire at times, but that same determination is what drives her to achieve her goals. We love you Jordyn Riley! Keep up the hard work!

Mother's Day

This year for Mother's Day we celebrated a week early by going up to Park City for the weekend. I honestly don't think we could have waited another week to escape! It was so nice to just play and relax. The girls of course loved swimming and we did a little exploring, but the weather was cold and snowy so we were limited.

The next weekend on actual Mother's Day we went to church and to In&Out for a little picnic. Mike and the kids got me a new bible I had been wanting and a cute cover for it along with a book mark and tabs. I was sooo excited about my new bible! Jordyn also got me a bouquet of flowers and planted some flowers in a pot for me. They are beautiful. When we got home Mike played with the girls and I took a nap! I awoke to Michael preparing a yummy dinner of steak, shrimp, and lobster! So, nice to be pampered! He even cleaned up and wouldn't let me help.

I daily thank the Lord for my family, but a day like that definately reminds me how blessed I truly am to have my husband and kids!~ I missed my Jakey, but he was here in spirit and sent me a beautiful message to let me know he remembered me too! Love that Little Buckaroo!

Thank you family for making me the happiest of Mommies!:)
