Jordyn is 7!

The infamous cake! Jordyn wanted a "wedding" cake.....quite the fiasco!

I can't believe my baby girl turned 7 yesterday. The time really does fly by. She is such a joy and we obviously can't imagine life without her. In her short 7 years in this world she has done so much. Most of it involves some form of athletics and wow is the girl talented! I am biased, but still! She has done: competitive cheerleading, ice skating, soccer, t-ball, gymnastics, skiing, and swimming. Yep, and she is 7! I forgot to add guitar lessons and spanish as well. I can't imagine working outside of the house because I don't know how she would get from A to B to C and back to A everyday without her mommy taxiing her around! But, I wouldn't change it for the world. Since before she was born I loved her with all that I am and we planned for me to be able to stay home with her and by the grace given to us from God I have been able to be home with both of my girls and witness every milestone of their lives and for that I will always be grateful.

When Jordyn was born we still had a 35mm camera that actually relied on film to take pictures so I can't post her baby pics, but I have plenty to show her big day of turning 7 with all of her girlfriends! She decided to have an American Idol birthday party this year. We have the American Idol Wii Game which is karaoke with the judges. The girls sang over and over and over and over! We had about 12 girls and by the end of the party I was hoping to never hear any of those songs again!!!

This year we got the girls a trampoline for their birthday and I think we have already gotten our moneys worth. They have both been outside everyday. Jordyn jumped for 4 hours the other day and could barely walk that night. I don't think her gymnastics coach was too happy with me, but she is a kid! Of course by jumping I mean she did back handsprings, back flips, front flips, and front handsprings for 4hours...duh, of course her back hurt!!!!

Grandma Nita came to Utah for the girls birthdays. It has become a tradition for her and Papa Roger to be here for the girls big days and neither one of them have missed one yet! Apparently we were busy when Papa was here because we didn't get the camera out! (bad Seanna) But, we definately remembered when Grandma Nita was here. Jordyn cried her little heart out as she watched Grandma walk into the airport. My poor girl is strong, but sensitive and doesn't do well with goodbyes!

So, here are a ton of pics from the last week....

This is what the weather did on the day of Jordyn's party!

Thank goodness Rick volunteered to help Michael, but they were both soaked!!

Ireland's "Party"

Last night we took Ireland to Red Robin to celebrate her 2nd birthday. We are also going to the zoo on the 13th with a couple of her friends and my mom, but we wanted to celebrate on her actually birthday as well. For some reason in our family birthDAYs seem more like birthMONTHs! Especially, when the girls birthdays are only 2 weeks apart!

Anyway, back to the "party." Ireland was so excited that everyone was celebrating just for her. Of course at Red Robin the kids always get a balloon so that was a bonus, but she got 4 which was almost the highlight of the evening. She ordered one of her favorites: mac and cheese and shared a milk shake with Daddy. We took her cake to the restaurant and sang Happy Birthday and took a couple presents for her to open. She got her very own baby that cries! (yay, Daddy already wants to lose the batteries) And we found her a singing Barney! You would think the girl won the lottery! So, now added to her blanket, cup, and panda is her new baby and Barney! Pretty soon she won't have anywhere to sleep in her bed because of all the things she takes with her!

It was a low key dinner with just our family and it was exactly what we all needed! Life has been crazy for everyone lately and to be all together to celebrate Ireland's big day was awesome!

Ireland is 2!

Wow! That is the theme of the day! We can't believe our baby girl is already 2! She had a rough start, but the girl is a fighter. She is very feisty and her attitude matches her newest phrase which is, "I do it or I did it." Don't even think of helping her because "Ireland do it!" Looking through all of her photos brought back quite a bit. At the time we were in shock that she arrived so early, but there was never a thought that she wasn't going to make it through just fine. Now seeing how small she was and remembering all she went through just seems to prove that she is a miracle. Truly a gift from the Lord as all children are, but born with quite the testimony. She has blessed our lives so much and we can't imagine our family without her.

Some of her current favorites include:

1. Jumping-anywhere, on anything or off anything
2. Singing-today she was upset when Taylor Swift "You Belong To Me" shut off in the van, luckily it was a CD and so we listened to it 3 times!!
3. She loves being outside, but most kids do. She loves the swings, she can actually still fit in her baby swing and likes to play in it.
4. Gymnastics with Jordyn, she says"Ireland's turn" and tries to do whatever her sister did.
5. She loves Jordyn and always wants to eat or do whatever her sister is doing.
6. She loves chicken and asks for it at every meal including breakfast.
7. She has to have her pink and butterfly blankie and her baby panda with her at ALL times!I don't mind the panda, but dragging her blanket everywhere is gross!
8. She LOVES Barney, Elmo, and Yo Gabba Gabba which is one of the strangest shows I have ever seen!

She keeps us on our toes and is a completion of our family. We thank God for all of our kids each day and look forward to another year of fun with each of them!

Happy Birthday Ireland!
