What a week we have had in our household!!! Layton was officially terminated from the Four Season's last Thursday and since then the world has turned upside down a few times. What does that mean for the Colligan's? I'm so glad you asked. It means thank the Lord above because Mike and the rest of his team still have jobs, just not in Colorado. It looks like we are all headed back to Utah sooner rather than later. They called Mike on Monday afternoon and asked if he could be back in the Utah office Tuesday! HELLO!! Needless to say, that didn't work out for us. We are in the process of looking for a new home in Utah, mainly because we are insane! Actually, it seems that now is the time to buy if you can, and we think that we maybe, sort of, could swing it. We will keep you posted on that one.
In other current events, back surgery #3 is scheduled for June 26th. I am really praying that my new Dr. can make the pain finally go away! I have heard that the 3rd time is the charm, but I would have settled for #1 to have worked! Please pray for this one. This surgery will be more invasive and I will have to stay in the hospital for a few days making my recovery slightly longer. I have already been threatened by all people who know me that I can not do anything!!!
When we are back in Utah I will be starting my daycare up again. Luckily, this provides us an income as well as the benefits of being home with my kids, which is our #1 priority. We have also decided that home school is the best option for our girls at this point in their lives. Jordyn did attend all day kindergarten this year and had a phenomenal teacher. I wouldn't have done anything different. She learned a lot and made great friends. However, the influence that the school has on our kids is tremendous and we feel it is our duty to protect our kids from as much garbage as possible. Some people argue that we are sheltering our kids, but we believe we are better preparing them for life. The Lord has blessed us with 3 beautiful kids and we think we are doing what is right for us. Again, we are insane and after a year of daycare and home school and who knows what else, we may head down a different path!
We are so sad to leave Eagle. We love our community and have a awesome church. We also have an amazing group of friends that we do not want to leave. We are fortunate enough to be returning to a great church and great friends in Utah as well. I have been having such a hard time with having to leave here, but after months of prayer, I know that God has a plan and even though I don't understand what it is He will get me through and the result will be good.
So...that is pretty much the update for us...kids are all doing awesome and we are once again headed for Utah! Please, keep us in prayer!

Jacob's 8th grade graduation was last week and we were fortunate enough to be in Portland to see it. His school ceremony was on Thursday night and on Saturday we had a big party for him at Michael's parent's house. It turned out awesome! Thanks to everyone who came and supported him. It was so nice to see all our family and friends again. Unfortunatley, our trip was short this time, but next time we will be there for a longer period of time. Here are some of the pictures from our trip!

Since I haven't posted anything in a while, this has some random things in it. I put some pics of Jordyn with her friends, but the main reason for the post is the "Daddy Daugter Dance." Jordyn and Michael were super stoked for their "date." Jordyn was telling everyone her Daddy was taking her to the prom! So, in perfect prom fashion, she got flowers, and Mommy did her hair and she wore her "special" dress. At the dance, they enjoyed treats, prizes, and a carriage ride. They made a great memory that all of us will treasure for a long time. I know the time is coming when Daddy taking her to prom, won't be near as cool as it was last weekend, but for now we will enjoy it!
