The final verdict is in: The Colligan Clan is moving to Colorado....Again!:)
Why did we move back in the 1st place? Good question...I don't have a good answer! All I do know is we are headed to Denver for about 6 months in preparation for Layton's upcoming trial and in Mayish we will be returning to Eagle. I wish I could say we were returning for good, but it will only be temporary! Darn it! We knew God intended for us to return, but we were hoping for a longer stay!!! I have to say though, I am ecstatic to be fortunate enough to spend the summer there! In September-ish, we should be returning to Utah, although we never know for sure where we may end up! We just feel blessed that Mike has a good job with a great employer and that we are able to go where he goes. Mike has been away from home this last year more than anytime before. He generally didn't/doesn't travel for work, but with this upcoming case and trial he is gone more than he is home. It has been more than trying on our family. I know we have grown a lot from it and am thankful for all the sacrifice Michael makes for our family. Luckily, we will be able to spend more time together with this move taking place. We will relocate the first part of January. Bouncing all over the U.S. isn't how we intended to raise our family, but if it is what keeps us together than we are all for it! Prayers are greatly appreciated!

This year we are spending Christmas in Portland so we decided to not decorate at our place. That lasted a whole 2 days of December and I decided we at least needed 1 of our 5 trees put up! Since it was the girls and I on our own this year I did opt for the 7 ft prelit which just doesn't compare to my 9 ft! But hey, at least we have a tree up! This was the first year Ireland could actually help hang decorations. She was so cute! I love decorating the tree with my kids!! We sent daddy a picture when we were done so he got to see what was happening at home! He is working out of town for the next month straight....we all miss him like crazy!
Turkey Time
Well, I sat down to post Christmas Tree pics and realized I skipped right over Thanksgiving! So, I will give you the run down for those that may be interested. If you are not interested than why are you reading this?! Michael's parents came into town for turkey day this year. It was so nice to be able to host a Thanksgiving again. For the last few years it has just been us and we just get a turkey breast. This year we were able to cook a whole turkey! Woo hoo for us! Jake came into town on Friday. The girls were over the moon to see their brother. I don't know if he will ever realized what a hero he is in their eyes!
Unfortunately, the cold/flu also came to visit for Thanksgiving weekend and it didn't leave anyone out. We still tried to get out and do things, but we had a lot of down time too. We did some shopping of course, and Grandma and Grandpa Colligan took the girls to the fun center. Steve and Diane headed home Sunday morning and although Mike and I wanted to die, we took the kids bowling that evening! We are all still on the verge of recovery, but no promises yet! Happy turkey day...gobble, gobble

Halloweeny Time!
I am a sucker for holidays, but Halloween has become a big one around the Colligan household. Last year we through a party for Jordyn and some girls from church, along with a few friends. The idea was to introduce her to the girls in our church and neighborhood since we had just moved back from Colorado. The party was a huge hit and everyone has been asking if we were doing it again this year. So, of course the answer was yes! I will post more on the actual party later, ok, someday, but for now here are the events leading up to THE event!
We took the girls to Thanksgiving Point for some non-spooky Halloween fun. They both had fun playing games, riding ponies, and making crafts. Then we headed across the street for some spooky fun for Jordyn! The next day we carved our pumpkins. Jordyn actually got in it this year which was fun, Ireland thought it was gross! They each painted a couple and carved one. We found a cute monkey cut out, so of course that was Ireland's and Jordyn picked out a haunted house design. I don't know that Halloween is what I enjoy as much as the fun activities leading up to it. I love spending time all together making things and playing! We all had so much fun....until next year!

Mr. and Mrs. Colligan
September 9, 2001, Mike and I said I do. And we have been "doing" ever since. The road hasn't always been smooth, but that is what makes us appreciate the good times. We are best friends and we laugh a lot! And we both know God is in control of our lives. I can't think of a better life or anyone else I would rather share it with! Love you,Babe!
On a funny knot. I got Mike a watch for our anniversary. They jeweler wrapped it up all pretty and put it in a foo foo gift bag. So, Mike opens it all slow and excited....the box was empty!!!! No joke. The lady at the jewelery store had forgot to put the watch in the box before she wrapped it. Luckily, with a phone call all was fixed, but it was just the cherry on the cake of what was a crazy anniversary this year. We are going to Park City for a night on Sunday, just the 2 of us and I am going shopping at the outlet mall for my gift! Sooooo excited! I will post on that when we return!

Lilly's Baptism
I had every intention of blogging about our trip to Portland the minute we got home, but.....life happened and here we are 3 weeks later. In the words of Jordyn's Kindergarten teacher,"you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!"
So, my wonderful brother in law and sister flew the girls and I to Portland for their daughter Lilly's baptism. We had so much fun and I am so grateful to my sis and her family for including us in their big day. We flew in on Thursday and Jordyn was able to go to soccer practice with Kelly. Friday we tried to prepare a bit for the party on Saturday. And all the in between time we hung out and played. It was soooo nice and we all needed it! Saturday was Lilly's big day. She was gorgeous as usual! She was baptised Greek Orthodox and the ceremony was beautiful. The church was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen and the experience as a whole was awesome. I did have to sneak away and threaten Ireland's little life in the "cry room" but she finally calmed down and I didn't miss too much. After the baptism Stephani and Spiro hosted a celebration at their home. The weather cooperated, which by the way was the only day while we were there, but at least for Lilly the clouds parted and the sun was shining. They had a huge jumpy house, tons of food and family and friends! The kids played their hearts out. They were so tired by 7! We got to see my dad and Kimmie and at that point Jordyn's life was complete!
The last night in Portland we went to my mom's and stayed the night. We took the kids bowling and to an arcade. Ireland loved bowling and it was her first time actually playing(well as much as a 2 year old can play!)
The trip was a short one, but we really had so much fun. After we left Stephani's Ireland kept asking, "where is aunt stepani?" I am so glad we took the time to visit and can't wait to see each other again! Thank you Sassalos Family!
