Chicken Poop

Monday we took a little trip to a chicken farm so the girls could check things out. Our friends were buying eggs and we tagged along for the field trip. The girls were hoping to see chicks, but they were being kept at a different location. To put it mildly the smell was overwhelming! But hey we were on a farm, so who cares, right?! Ireland liked watching, but she wouldn't let me put her down and she didn't want to touch the chickens. Jordy on the other hand has always been the fearless one and she held one for quite a while. She wanted to take one home to our apartment! Pretty sure that wouldn't go over to well with the management! Now she is thinking how to pull it off when we get back home to Utah!! Great! Before leaving she tried to hold a rooster, but he was dang strong and she didn't get a hold of his wing and he whipped her in the face and took off! She just laughed! Both kids had fun and haven't stopped talking about it! I only got a few pics before my battery died!

Happy Easter Pig!

Jordyn participated in a flashlight egg hunt this year. I didn't get any pictures because the parents stayed inside while "leaders" supervised the egg hunt outside. The entire night was 2 hours. They had a dj and dancing and a bunch of prizes. Even though Ireland didn't get to hunt for eggs, she still had fun and left with prizes, treats, and a balloon.

We dyed our eggs the Saturday before Easter. Jordyn is a pro by now. Ireland did pretty good, but we had to remind her to be gentle, because the eggs break! I think she broke 3 total, so that wasn't too bad! And neither child spilled any dye! Wow, that is a surprise in itself!

We saw a egg hunt advertised on a church billboard and decided we would take the girls to that. We wanted Ireland to be able to have a hunt she could do. Lucky for us there was tons of eggs and only about 30 kids! Ireland and 2 other little guys got to start. She had a full bucket before the big kids even got to start! I can't believe how much candy both girls ended up with! The people were awesome and we ended up trying the service on Sunday. The girls LOVED it and we like the pastor as well. Both girls were counting down until we could go again last Sunday. We went with Jake as well as the girls for Easter service and Jake really liked the church as well. It helps that the pastor has a good sense of humor! So, while we are living here we have found a church that fits each family members needs individually as well as a unit! Praise the Lord!

After church we came home and played Risk with Jacob and Jordyn and of course Mike won! We played 3 games. We had our friends Shondra and Justin over for dinner, prime rib of course! Yummy! We were all stuffed! After dinner we played Risk again with Justin and Shondra included this time. Justin won the first game and Shondra won the 2nd game! We just let them win because they were our guests! duh!!
I should have taken pics, but I'm a dork and forgot!!!

We hope everyone was able to celebrate the risen King on Easter and remember His sacrifice for us! Praise the Lord!

Nasnastics

Ireland was able to start gymnastics at the end of February for the first time. She loves it! That is putting it mildly! She can hardly wait each week until it is her turn. Jordyn has gymnastics on Wednesday nights and Ireland has gymnastics on Thursday morning. She is pretty good about understanding when it is her turn or Sissy's. Ireland talks about her nasnastics all the time. No I didn't mis-spell that she calls it nasnastics! Why is everything cuter when kids are toddlers?! Here is our Monkey, monkeying around!

She loves jumping on the trampoline with her friends!

The rings are 1 of her favorites!

Rock-A-Band

Ireland loves to play Rockband with Daddy or as she says, Rock-a-band! We came into the living room and this is what we found. Keep in mind, no music is actually playing. She is singing and drumming all to her own beat!!

Easter Buckets

The girls wanted to get Easter Buckets this year instead of baskets. Jordyn thought it would be fun to paint them. Mike drew a rabbit on 1 side of Jordyn's bucket and she painted it and on the other side she painted a cross and thanked Jesus! I know that Easter has nothing to do with bunnies or eggs and I know my kids know that too! We do however enjoy the excitement and surprise of celebrating the easter bunny coming and hiding the eggs. And I will take any excuse for the girls to craft!

Ireland loved the free painting and thank goodness we had it set up outside because she had paint everywhere as well as spilling the paint water TWICE! Oh well, she is 3and again thats why we did it outside!

Clothes Swapping

My sister and I have been "swapping" clothes for our girls for about 7 years. I have always thought that got the greater end of the deal, but our last shipment from her was over the top.....literally!! Both girls have so many clothes now. I told Jordyn she wasn't allowed to ask for pants for at least a year! Luckily, Makenna is next in line to get the hand me downs! For my girls it is like Christmas. And they firmly believe Aunt Stephani has awesome taste. Each day that Ireland gets dressed she says: "Aunt Stephani got me these clothes, aren't they pretty?" Cracks us up! We are so blessed to be able to get more than full use of the clothes each family buys. This is a picture of about HALF of the shipment that came just for Jordyn. I'm going to have to give her an extra bedroom just for her clothes!!!! Thanks again Aunt Stephani, you really are the best!!!
