Wow! 8 years ago I married my best friend! Mike and I celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary on the 8th of September. On one hand it feels like we have been together forever, but on the other it seems like it was just yesterday that we celebrated our big day with friends and family. This year my good friend Leslie offered to watch our girls so Mike and I could go to the movies. I was so excited to go on a date with just my husband. I love my kids, but it is nice to have a little break once in a while and for us once in a while is once every couple of years!! It's nice to know that even through the ups and downs of our marriage we still have fun together and enjoy being together. Life is tough and marriage requires a lot of work, but lucky for me I found a partner who is willing to work with me to make our world work. In 8 years we have created a loving home, 2 beautiful girls, and I gained a son. We have so much to be thankful for and I am looking forward to many more anniversary's together! Thank you Lord for our many blessings!

The Green Gators

Jordyn started soccer this year for her first time. She really enjoyed it. And isn't half bad either. Maybe that has something to do with us instilling the love of the game in her head since she was in the womb, maybe not though. Unfortunately, the Green Gator's lost their first game, but not for lack of trying. About 2 minutes into the game a little girl on the opposing team yells to her coach "I'm tired already"! Too funny. Although there was some confusion it seems all the kids are getting the general idea and rules of the game. Now if they can just remember to listen to the coach and not their dad yelling from the sidelines!!! I think my favorite part was Ireland yelling from her stroller "go, Jord" louder than any adult! She loves her sissy. She just kept yelling and clapping the whole game! Go Gators!!
