Thanksgiving Top 10 Thankful's Fun/Serious

In honor of Thanksgiving I thought I would put a list of things I am thankful for:

1. My relationship with Jesus Christ. He is #1 in my life and with me always!

2. My husband~who truly puts me 1st in his life, after Christ of course, but he is a God fearing, honest, hard working man, who loves me for me. That feels amazing! He is my best friend.

3. My kids~which is the only reason I can come up with for why the Lord put me on this earth. I love each of my children with a love I never knew existed and I thank God daily for blessing me with His precious treasures!

4. My Mama~yep! Mama! I can call her and tell her anything, she usually tells me her opinion(which I'm not always thankful) but our daily talks are a time I look forward too! I am so proud of the Grandma and woman my mom has become! I love u Mom!

5. My Daddy! Now I can definately call him ANYTIME and tell him ANYTHING( even things he never wanted to know) and he keeps his opionions to himself and doesn't judge me one stinkin' bit! The power of love that a Father and a daughter have is boundless. We drive each other bonkers on occasion, but most of the time we are laughing when we do it! Love you Dad!

6. My In-Laws~ I am so fortunate to have The Colligan's as my in-laws. They have never once not supported us. They may disagree, but always support. They apologize when they need to and they love with all they have all the time. They display the closest thing to unconditional love that I have ever witnessed with my own eyes. They are everything I hope to be someday. Married for 40 years still snipping at each other, but walking hand in hand when they do it. Life has thrown them some curve balls, sure, but they are still living and loving!

7. My extended family-I have so many great memories with family members that I don't even know anymore. Just the same I am thankful for those memories and hope that my children are blessed enough to have similar ones. From cousins, aunts, uncles, great grandparents and the list goes on, the time we spent together is time I truly treasure and were some of my happiest childhood memories!

8.My friend~Sorry, you knew you would be here! I have amazing friends! Friends that you can call at 3am just because you miss them and they actually talk to you, because they miss you too! I have friends from elementary school still that even though time and distance separate us, we still talk as though we were together yesterday! I love my friends! Thank you all for your support, your tears, your laughter and for choosing to share this journey of life with me!

9. My church~I say "my" church, but there is only 1 church I feel truly belongs to me and that is Calvary Christian Fellowship in Eagle Colorado! What an amazing group of Christians in that place. The people we met while living in Colorado and attending this church changed our lives for the better. They are people who make us want to be better at everything. They give all they have daily for others, the core group of the church is beyond any other church setting I have ever been a part of and I am proud to say I was a part of it. God is doing an amazing work in that city and I am glad to have been a part of it if only for a season! I am grateful for our church here as well. We have a wonderful Pastor who we enjoy listening too and challenges us! And the families we have met since coming home have made our re-transition to Utah so much better for us and our girls! Thank you God for small groups!

10.My job~ Daycare is one of the most difficult jobs I have ever had, but the benefits are unbeatable. There is no amount of money that would convince me to not be at home with my girls everyday. I have seen every milestone, every scrape, every tear, every laugh...everything! I wouldn't trade that for a 6 figure income anyday! As I said before I believe my babies are why I was put on this earth and I want to spend every second I can with them. Daycare has allowed me to be home with each of my kids and still make an income. There are days I ask myself "why?" but when I sneak in late at night to make sure my girls are breathing(yeah, the oldest is 6 and I still do it at least once a night) I know why...the same reason I do everything, my babies!

So, for the "fun" list of things I'm thankful for:

1.Coke! Love the burn of an ice cold coke first thing in the morning! Yeah, baby!

2.Cheese...can I just put it on everything???

3. Salt...notice a food thing, it looks like heart disease is in my immediate future!

4.My fan...I couldn't sleep without you, it goes wherever I do!

5.My fav blanket, I've had it since middle school, it's kind of ugly and handed down, but I love it and refuse to get a new one!

6.3am Reese's Peanut Butter Cravings...there I go with the food theme again

7. sunflower seeds, I can't watch a movie without them and they are messy!

8. A great true crime book! Oh,it is my weakness! I love to read.

9.online shopping, I don't even have to get out of my pajamas to do one of my favorite activites of all time!

10. Playing with my girls, listening to them giggle is what gets me through some days, it is the greatest song I have ever heard!

I hope everyone has a fabulous Thanksgiving and takes time to remember the things they are thankful for! It all came from the same place. Praise Him who blesses you!

Thanksgiving Point

Last weekend was beautiful. Mike had never been to Thanksgiving Point, so we decided to take the girls to the farm at TP. They loved it. I have taken Jordyn before, but Ireland and Daddy had never been. The girls really enjoyed feeding all the animals and especially riding the ponies. Jordyn wants a Clydesdale for Christmas. That was the type of horse we saw and took us on a wagon ride. They were HUGE! I told her she will have to ask one of her Papa's if she wants a horse! Yeah, I know I'm kinda like that! Anyway, we all enjoyed the nice weather and each other, it was a great weekend!

trick or treat?

Well, I am a couple of weeks late, but wanted to share our Halloween fun. We went up to North Salt Lake to go trick or treating with the Wallentine family. It is sort of a tradition minus the 2 years we didn't live in the same state! None the less, it was a good time. Melissa made potato soup and then we got the kids all set to go. The weather was amazing. It was 60 degrees and a beautiful night. Jordyn and Ireland didn't want to stop. Ireland insisted on walking and was very upset when we insisted she not! She said tweet peezz, in the cutest 1 year old voice you can imagine and followed it up with da...which in Ireland language means thank you. Why? I have no idea, but it does. It also means your welcome. Hey, at least she has manners even if everyone doesn't understand the language! Jordyn went as Gabriella from High School Musical(I don't think anyone knew that, but she is 6 going on 15 and picked her own outfit) Ireland was a ladybug and one of the cutest I have ever seen. I say one because her big sister was also a ladybug for her first trick or treat experience!
