Love Dare!!! For those of you who don't know, this book was inspired by the movie "Fireproof" which is a Christian movie on marriage! Though some of the acting is a little cheesy, the overall movie is amazing. How great your relationship can be when you put a little effort into it!
Michael and I have started the "Love Dare" journey and so far so good. We are only on day 8 of 40, but feel very blessed that so far the dare's haven't been diffcult or felt like a struggle at all. Even though we feel like the dare's have been easy, they have still brought us closer. Even if what we are doing for each other during the day is something we usually do, it still forces you to put your spouse first because they are on your mind in order to finish the dare!
Anyway, I will keep you posted on our journey, but wanted to recommend the book to any married couple interested in strengthening their marriage!

Some People Never Learn! And I'm referring to MYSELF!
So, I had back surgery almost 2 weeks ago and was stoked about being pain free and able to walk again! I mean really walk without looking like Igor as my mom and friends had started to call me! I know, I have a great support system, right?!
So, I was feeling awesome! Even without the pain meds! And about 4 days ago, the pain down my leg came back, not just a little, not just once in a while, but full on, you're gonna pay for this pain! So, I go to the follow up with my Dr. and he asks the million dollar question of, "what happened?" I look blankly at my husband and think nothing happened. Except, "oh, yeah, how about falling right on my bum in the Costco parking lot on a sheet of ice probable a foot thick." Would that count? My Dr. smiles at me as if to say DUH! That is exactly what the problem is! So, he prescribes me steroids, which if you don't know blows you up like a stinking balloon! That is always attractive! Anyway, if that doesn't work, I get to have another MRI and possibly another surgery because I possibly "squeezed" more disc out! Oh, good, as if one surgery bill wasn't enough, because of my stubbornness I may get two!! ARGHHHH yes, like a pirate! ARGHHHHHHH So, I'm pretty sure my friends and family have been right in telling me I was doing too much! Gulp, I have admitting that! A trip to Costco 4 days after surgery, alone with the kids......not a good idea! I'll keep you posted!
