Oktoberfest and Anniversary

September 8th was our 11th wedding anniversary. We went up to Snowbird for their annual Oktoberfest and took the kids and Jake's girlfriend, Jade. The weather was great and we all had fun. Jordyn and Ireland had a blast with all the kid activities. That evening we dropped Jade off for work and picked up Jordyn's friend Paige to roast hotdogs and smores in our backyard. The night was beautiful and we spent the entire evening outside just talking. I know most couples don't spend their anniversary with their kids, but this year was one of our favorites. The kids were all in great moods and it was a celebration of our family not just or marriage. Here's to another 11 plus years! Now, a ton of pictures from the day....

Ireland

We have been working with Ireland on her letters for what seems like forever. She has not wanted anything to do with it until recently. Last week, we reached a huge milestone and she wrote her name. Now she writes it all the time! Finally! We are very proud of her!

Zoo Trip

My favorite place to go is the zoo. So, I talked the fam into going last Friday. The weather was perfect and the animals were in rare form. It was our first time seeing the new exhibits and the polar bear was really putting on a show. We all agreed it was our favorite this time and probably watched it for at least half and hour. Jordyn's friend Emma came along too. It was a great way to end the week.

First Day of School

All 3 kids are now is school! Ireland started first on Monday August 27th. She is in Pre_K. She went for a couple of months last year and is goind all year this year. She LOVES school and Miss Jenny! We are working double time on her letters and numbers which she doesn't like to practice at all, but is slowly making progress!!
Jordyn started 4th grade on Tuesday August 28th. She is going full time to public school for the first time since Kindergarten. It has been an adjustment, but I think for the better. She enjoys school and is learning the ins and outs of how things work. Overall, it has been great for her and I!
