A Weekend in Park City

For a little family getaway we snuck up to Park City for a night.  When we arrived they didn't have a 2 bedroom available, which we had booked, so to make it right we were upgraded to the Presidential Suite! Holy cow!!! The place was HUGE, we had a private hot tub on our wrap around balcony, a full suite and gorgeous views! Darn, that it was only 1 night!  We took the kids zip lining and on the alpine slides and a mountain coaster. The weather was wonderful.  Mommy and Ireland played outside while Dad took the big kids on all the rides.  Ireland is still a bit timid of these activities so she hangs with prego mama!  And my favorite  activity is of course a little shopping.  I like strolling down main street. It reminds me of the beach shops in Oregon.  We stopped at the Christmas store to get our annual Christmas Ornaments for each of the kids. Drank hot chocolate and just enjoyed having no schedule to worry about!

Carrie Underwood

My birthday present this year was tickets to Carrie Underwood. She has been on my bucketlist for a couple years and I finally got to see her. Unfortunately for Michael, I took Jordyn  as my date.  I say unfortunately because in case you are blind Carrie Underwood is beautiful!! However, Jordyn has grown up rocking out with me to all of Carrie's music so we enjoyed a great mommy/daughter date. If you have never seen Carrie Underwood in concert you are missing out! Girlfriend puts on quite a show! Her opening act was Hunter Hays and reminds me of a country Justin Bieber. Every teenage girl there was dying and Jordyn has a new love for his music! lol............Carrie Underwood actually saw Jordyn and waved, I thought Jordyn might pass out! We had a blast! Here is to many more dates with one of my best girls! We took a billion pictures, but here are a few!!!

Mom and Grandpa Visit

On October 3rd  my mom and grandpa came for a visit.   We had nice weather and spent a lot of time  outside with the kids.  The majority of our time thought was spent playing cards! We love to play cards!!! My mom and I pretty much got our rearends handed to us on a daily basis, but we managed to win a few games! We had a fun time and are lame and only took one picture!!

Homecoming

Jacob and Jade went to Herriman High's Homecoming dance on Saturday, Sept 29th, 2012. They both looked great and had a blast with friends at the dance!

Mike's 40th

We had a low key celebration for Mike's 40th birthday. He didn't want anything big...boring!!! We stayed home and celebrated with the kids and had cake. We are headed to Park City this weekend for a late birthday celebration.

Oktoberfest and Anniversary

September 8th was our 11th wedding anniversary. We went up to Snowbird for their annual Oktoberfest and took the kids and Jake's girlfriend, Jade. The weather was great and we all had fun. Jordyn and Ireland had a blast with all the kid activities. That evening we dropped Jade off for work and picked up Jordyn's friend Paige to roast hotdogs and smores in our backyard. The night was beautiful and we spent the entire evening outside just talking. I know most couples don't spend their anniversary with their kids, but this year was one of our favorites. The kids were all in great moods and it was a celebration of our family not just or marriage. Here's to another 11 plus years! Now, a ton of pictures from the day....
